Learnly Academy Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Learnly Academy (“the Site”), you, the user (and your parent/guardian if you are under 18), agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Eligibility and Parental Consent

  • Student Focus: Learnly Academy is designed for students. Users under the age of 13 must have verifiable parental consent to use the Site.

  • Account Responsibility: Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their child’s use of the Site and ensuring that the child understands the community rules.

3. User Conduct (The “Golden Rule”)

To maintain a safe learning environment, all users agree to:

  • Be Kind: Harassment, bullying, or the use of hate speech/inappropriate language in any Q&A or discussion area will result in immediate account termination.

  • Be Honest: Students should complete their own quizzes and lessons. Cheating or attempting to “game” the XP system through technical exploits is prohibited.

  • Stay Safe: Do not share your password or real-world contact information (address, phone number, or social media handles) with other users.

4. Identity and Nicknames

  • Nickname Policy: To protect student identity, users are required to use a “Nickname” for public areas of the site (such as the Leaderboard).

  • No Real Names: Using your full legal name as a public username is strictly prohibited. Learnly Academy reserves the right to change usernames that violate this policy or are deemed inappropriate.

  • Avatars: We encourage the use of non-identifiable avatars. Learnly Academy may remove profile pictures that contain inappropriate content or display a child’s face clearly.

5. Gamification and XP (Experience Points)

  • No Monetary Value: XP, Ranks, and Badges earned on the Site are for educational motivation only. They have no cash value and cannot be traded, sold, or redeemed for real-world currency.

  • Leaderboard Removal: Use of the Leaderboard is a privilege. We reserve the right to remove any student from the rankings for violating the Code of Conduct.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Our Content: All course materials, videos, and graphics on Learnly Academy are the property of the Site operators and are protected by copyright law. They are for your personal, non-commercial use only.

  • Your Content: By posting a question or comment, you grant Learnly Academy a right to display that content to other students within the platform for educational purposes.

7. Limitation of Liability

Learnly Academy is provided “as is” and “as available.” While we strive for excellence:

  • We do not guarantee that the Site will be error-free or uninterrupted.

  • We are not responsible for the accuracy of student-generated content in Q&A sections.

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Learnly Academy shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the Site.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account, at any time and without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the interests of Learnly Academy.

9. Privacy of the Operator

As a student-led digital project, the operator’s physical location and personal details are kept private for safety reasons. All legal notices and inquiries must be directed to support@learnlyacademy.org.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any major changes by posting a notice on the Student Dashboard. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
